The Barefoot Burger in Crawfordsville

I got food poising! Came in with high expectations and was completely disappointed. The burgers were gross, I couldn’t even finish mine. We ordered the crab queso and I’m pretty sure that’s what got me sick. Will not be returning.

Food is awesome as always. Menus is easy to read. Our server was amazing. Food came out promptly, last time I was there it took quite a bit longer. Prices are reasonable.

We would try this place again due to the owner's willingness to refund the majority of our food and offer a genuine apology. Can't skimp on the details. It made our first trip a disappointment. The kitchen could tighten up with a refresher training. It would help if wait staff were more attentive to welcoming customers. The overall atmosphere is bright.

Wide varieties of beer, build your own burgers, great appetizers. Bar area with all of the choices, and a family friendly dining area. Fun and interesting decor and theme. Very beach themed.

Food was "ok" service was ..... not good.

Scratch Margaritas. Food is excellent. Great bartenders and staff.

Great fries! I recommend building your own burger. A lot of options and room for creativity. Bison was good if you're lacking inspiration.

Prime rib was great .Tender and good flavor .They need different sides .

Best hamburger I think I have ever had!

We've tried their seafood nachos and volcano fries, both are delicious and look creative. However, their burgers taste mediocre. Bums of burger s are good in general. The black'n bleu burger tastes salty and with no veggies; The fiesta burger is juicy.

Nice place. Highly recommend. Not fancy. But fun.

This place...it's like a little taste of BroadRipple in Crawfordsville. Food is excellent! Staff is very friendly and down to Earth. Very laid back atmosphere.

Visiting from illinois for the motor cross event. The food was okay, fries were extra crispy, and the burger was so so. Waitress was very engaging and quite good. However the kitchen took 30 minutes to make a burger and fries. Place is clean and offers 3 choices for seating. Dining room, outdoor patio, which was badly lit, and the bar.

Although service was a little slow at first, it became clear that they only had one person serving the dining room and bar. She was very friendly and was doing the best she could. The food was great. Came out timely and was delicious. Overall we will definitely be coming back. My only recommendation would be for management to schedule at least 2 people to serve tables.

We were visiting the area and stopped here after a hike at Shades State Park. We saw that they had an outdoor dining space, but were not sure if we would have to take our food to-go because we had our dog with us. The staff was super friendly and accommodating and didn’t mind at all that our dog was with us. We sat in the outdoor patio area, and they even brought over a bowl of water for our pup. The food was delicious. Half of our party is vegetarian, and they had a black bean burger option that worked out perfectly. We will definitely be eating here again when we come back to town for our family hikes!

Awesome burgers! Plenty of options to suit any palate. We had the veggie burger and the turkey burger and both were great. We will definitely be back!

Great food. Need more wait staff (only one waitress for the entire dinning side) but definitely worth the wait. If you don't like qdoba queso, try it here!

The staff is friendly, prices are fair and the food taste good. If they have it, the Garlic burger is delicious!

Nice place. Bison burger was good. Good atmosphere. Only drawback was it was too cold in there. We were in the back room for a birthday party and had too much of a cold breeze. Granted, the walls are brick, so I'm sure not much, if any, insulation.

I guess you'd call us "regulars" here. The hand cut fries are cooked perfectly and pair beautifully with their house-made dressings (ranch is the best for fries, imo). AND! Their queso doesn't have food coloring, so safe for the kiddos! The one time they got my order wrong, they promptly apologized and fixed the situation beyond my satisfaction. The owner is friendly and can often be seen helping out in the kitchen. Never met a mean server here.

Very interesting & eclectic place. Nice variety of food selections & ambience that is all it’s own. No issues with service or personalities. Would come again if were in the area.

Great service, the servers we're very hospitable. The burger was above standard, and the price was more than fair for the portion sizes.

Colorful, cozy restaruant that almost feels like a tropical escape in the middle of small town Indiana. The menu is simple and easy to digest. The waitress was friendly, attentive, and prompt. Unfortunately, thats were the festivities end. Folding tables, napkin wrapped forks (just forks), watered down soap dispensers...not good! My Arnold Palmer was watery and tasted like less iced tea and even less lemonade. The fries were double-fried, which i'm still on the fence about. My burger didnt look its best on the plate when it arrived, and it tasted like every average black & blue burger i've had (..and i've had quite a few!). Clearly theres some room for improvement.

I called to order some food and was put on "hold" for five minutes, during which I could just hear everybody in the place happily chatting in the background. Go figure. When I called again, nobody picked up the phone. I got a decent burger from them once, but don't won't be continuing to patronize them, as they don't seem to value their customers.

Great hole-in-the-wall burger joint. Its Hawaiian-ish atmosphere is cheap and kitschy, but aligns it with a certain small-town feel that permeates the city. Barefoot Burger occasionally hosts live entertainment like musical artists, stand-up comedy shows, and even drag shows... which is laudably progressive for the small Midwestern town of Crawfordsville. Five stars overall, as I've never had a negative experience here.

Friendly staff, great food, and a unique atmosphere. One of our favorite places since we have moved to Crawfordsville. We will be back, a lot!! 😉

The food was very tasty and the service was too notch. Hannah and Jackie were great! The "Grinch Burger" was very good.

Stumbled on this place in Crawfordsville. It was excellent. Went with a party of 6 and everyone was pleased with their meal. They had a wonderful steak and prime rib on special. Both were excellent, but the prime rib was above and beyond. Bison burger was good also and bottomless fries what more do you need. If you save room after the fries the brownie dessert went over well. They have a full bar with a good choice of beer including Floyd's and Sun King.

Small neighborhood place with decent food and fair prices. The constant passing of people from the bar downstairs to the outdoor smoking patio was a bit much.

Great food! Awesome people and bartenders. Jukebox and good drinks. They have a pool table also but no live bands. I frequently visit this place. Also has a awesome outside view from the top deck during the summer.

So glad their kitchen is reopened! Always love the burgers and their fries are amazing.

First off, the breaded mushrooms are amazing.Staff was friendly, place was clean and the menu wasnt to big or to small.The bread for the burger is a nice touch but IMO should be more than a 5oz patty, especially for a place known for burgers. It tasted good but didnt leave me satisfied for what I paid for. The fries tasted like they were a day old.

Ate in the bar. First restaurant during covid that felt almost normal. Really enjoyed my pulled pork sandwich, fries and cold beer choices.
